Changes in 7.0 RMs team View as Markdown

I would like to thank Kalle for the work and dedicated he previously
offered to PHP. And of course thanks to all the current developers that
continue with PHP.

Hi,

I'm writing to inform the community that from now on Kalle is considered
retired. He was indeed already inactive for personal reasons for quite some
time. Nothing seems to have changed on that till this day and there are no
responses to our pings from him, so after the discussion amongst RMs the
decision was made this notice to go out.

There is no risk to the 7.0 release cycle handling whatsoever. I hold the
job and will keep releases rolling. For a severe situation the support from
other RMs is certain and was offered unanimously!

Regards

Anatol

An update on this. Ferenc stepped in for occasionally rolling out 7.0.x
releases for the case of my absence. His GPG key is added to the download
page for the ability to sign the tarballs. Ferenc did mentor the 7.0 release
process, so it is the most convenient option and hence the delivery of the
7.0 releases is now secured even more.

Thanks Ferenc! Much appreciated the help offer from current and former RMs!
Hope to never have to demand your time.

Regards

Anatol
