In the spirit of release early, release often here is the first and hopefully
the final release candidate of PHP 4.3.6. This release addresses
a bugb introduced by 4.3.5, which results in a crash during shutdown for ZTS
builds (Ex. Win32). Another important fix in this release deals with a bug
inside mktime() in relation to daylight savings time. A few other, less
critical fixes can be found in this release as well.

4.3.6RC1 still has the nasty bug27582_2.phpt test which causes my dual xeon
machine to fall over on make test. Any chance of simply removing the test
before final release?
