Travis builds in ZTS mode

Hi,

Recently two PR's caused a regression in ZTS mode, which had to be resolved
by making another PR to fix both of them :)

It would make sense to either:

make Travis always test with ZTS;
have it build in both configurations.

Thoughts?

Both configurations makes more sense ...
