Hey,
Beta 3 was supposed to be released on the 30th of November but got side
tracked because of the whole __toString() issue. Now it's resolved and
SimpleXML still works like a charm I'd like to aim for Beta 3 next week
(including the StudlyCaps standard adoption).
Can we aim for a definitive 9th December (my birthday)? After Beta 3 we
would then code freeze and prepare for RC1.

P.S.- Sorry for bombarding an already busy mailing list :)

I am cool with the Beta 3 date, but I think it would be helpful if we
could get a list of patches and new features people are planning to
commit because they want to get them into PHP 5.0 Final.
I think it's useful to know how much more is coming down the pipe
before we move to RC1 because we need to know what to QA. Also, it can
help us hold them line against a bunch of big commits during the RC
process.
Also, I know I may sound like a broken record, but I really don't want
go to RC1 until we can test mysqli with a verison of MySQL 4.1 that
people can easily install. Georg had claimed that MySQL was almost
ready to release the next alpha version. Where do they stand on this?

the snapshots at http://downloads.mysql.com/snapshots.php make it at
least a little bit easier to install (no need for bitkeeper..) MySQL 4.1

I would really like to see the shutdown order fixed before beta. It's
something quite vital to the whole dtors thingy.

Sorry Derick, but it seems that more people want studlyCaps in
Object-Oriented PHP and underscores in procedural PHP.
