Hi internals

We like to announce the 7th Release Candidate of PHP 5.4.0.
We fixed some critical bugs in the PHP 5.4.0 codebase. Therefore we
release another RC. Hopefully the last one before the final.

You can download the packages from:

http://downloads.php.net/stas

The Windows team provides windows binaries for the release.
As always you find them at:

http://windows.php.net/qa/

Please ensure that the release is solid and all things behave as
expected! Test the release candidate against your code base and report
any problems you encounter or successful tests you've run.

The next release will hopefully be the final. We plan to release it
on February 16.

NOTE: Do not commit anything without asking Stas or me.

regards,
Stas and David

Hi internals

This version comes with

fileinfo 1.0.5-dev
mysqlnd 5.0.10-dev
sqlite3 0.7-dev

Don't you think it will be great to have this versions changed to "final" ?

It's quite surprising for a user, reading "phpinfo" to see that a stable
version provides extensions in "dev" state.

Not an issue, only a comment about marketing ;)

Regards,
Remi.

Hi!

This version comes with

fileinfo 1.0.5-dev

mysqlnd 5.0.10-dev

sqlite3 0.7-dev

Thanks for the note, I think it makes sense to remove -dev from these
versions for the release. Any objections from the maintainers?

go ahead for fileinfo, maybe we should bump the version too as it does
not match anymore what has been done via pecl.
