Hi,
Ok, so the BETA todo has been updated, and its available at ::
http://www.php.net/~sterling/php5/TODO
The two remaining items are:
- Discuss Integrating SPL with PHP 5, Zend Engine 2
- Discuss Bundling libxml2 with PHP 5
Both of these were left until a later point, and I'll be starting up
discussions sometime soon (unless someone beats me to it) on these two
issues.
Are there any other outstanding issues before a beta?

I think there are a number of stale extensions that should be removed
from php-src/ before a BETA -- for instance qtdom.
There are a number of stale extensions I'd like to see removed, but I
don't think its necessary before the first beta. Each extension needs
to be mentioned, approved, and moved. That can certainly happen
alongside the beta, but none of it is critical before the beta.

Not that I can think of. I think we should discuss SPL (once we get a
detailed description) but I am not convinced it's a must to decide on the
issue before the beta. Anyway, I'll wait for you to startup the discussions :)

Seems the document has moved (it's
http://www.php.net/~sterling/php5/BETA ).
However, why do I get redirected to google for a file which
doesn't exist and them path I entered is automatically used
as a search term for google.
This looks completely foobar to me. I've noticed this to my
anger on the real php.net site too. Lots of redirects, trying
to guess the right country, switching languages if you don't
accept cookies and so on. Not very well done :-(
This "feature" IMO should not apply to private pages on
php.net.
