-1, it's very handy on Windows and I use it with the Windows Installer
itself to configure Apache and as a part of the build tool. I'd be
willing to help maintain this if needed.

+1, while I've used it before, using the streams API is much easier.
Although waiting till 6.0 may be a better option here.
