I am using PHP since 2.0 and would like to contribute something to it. I was talking to Hartmut Holzgraefe, who told me, that you might need some help with your German documentation. I would like to offer my help translating English parts into German. I am a native German speaker and was living in NYC for about 2 years. My English should be solid enough to help you.
