PHP 5.0.4RC2 rolled

There seems to be something magical about the 0.4 release number.
3.0.4 worked really well.

It wasn't until 0.4 that PHP4 compiled and ran without anything breaking for
me.
This is the first time PHP5 installed and ran all my stuff out of the box.
Any ideas when 6.0.4 will be out? ;)

Bug #32371 php://input sometimes returns dupl data

can still be reproduced on php-5.0.4rc2. Is there any
particular reason why the patch did not make it into the rc?
(Except for my machine hosting the patches being erroneously
powered down by the datacenter yesterday...)

This particular bug has taken me quite some time to hunt down
at work, so I thought it is for the wellness of humanity to
get it fixed ;-).

The PEAR bundle for windows is still out of date.

No, in fact, it has existed for almost a year now. see
php-src/win32/build/mkdist.php. Wez wrote the script. I see the last
person to commit to it was you. The PEAR part is at the bottom of the
file. It can be extracted to create a cron job quite easily.
