hi guys,
if you read the reviews on this page:
http://www.php-editors.com/review/?editor=16 , you will notice that a lot
of people don't use zend studio for the simple reason that it's lacking in
performance... this includes myself.
i would really love to use it because of all the features, but when i use
the gui, i want the program to respond instantly, which it doesn't do...
it's easy to blame java for this, but on the other hand, a program such as
azureus ( http://azureus.sourceforge.net ) seems to perform better...
to me, performance is the only (yet fatal) reason i don't use zend studio...
i kinda get the idea you're missing out on sales because of this issue..
i hope you can somehow resolve this all some day..
ron
Err, we didn't write it, try talking to Zend...

Just to note, although prior versions of ZS were very slow (especially in
Win32), that doesn't mean the current version is (that review you linked was
reviewing a year+ old version). I recently upgraded to the latest edition
(3.5.1) and can say the speed has improved immensely where there is no
noticeable delay anywhere in the program. I haven't tested it much on Win32
(I use Linux by choice), but it even seems to be much faster there as well. I
would check it out if I were you.
