Hi.

Just over 9 hours ago (Monday, March 29th 2010 at 23:02:36 UTC),
lduran became author #1000 to the PHP project.

http://svn.php.net/viewvc?view=revision&revision=297116

Using TortoiseSVN which has the ability to cache the commit log and
can generate lists of authors, changes and revisions. The authors list
shows lduran as user 1000.

ID,Name
0,""
1,"cvs2svn"
2,"sniper"
3,"sas"
4,"changelog"
5,"iliaa"
6,"helly"
7,"zeev"
8,"cellog"
...
996,"geissert"
997,"dchill42pecl"
998,"markskilbeck"
999,"gregorycu"
1000,"lduran"

Maybe this could be a news item?

Or are csv2svn and changelog not to be included? In which case we have
to wait a little bit more. Personally, author #1000 is a "good news
story".

Regards.

Richard.

Neat. I would not count cvs2svn though. Or any other known bots in there
if there are any.

Would be neat to see the list posted on pastebin though.

## #47685 — Philip Olson — 2010-03-30T17:12:05+00:00

From that data (that covers all of SVN, including docs/pear/pecl/etc.) we have the following:

1996 First: 4 Last: 1
1997 First: 21 Last: 6
1998 First: 27 Last: 13
1999 First: 40 Last: 18
2000 First: 71 Last: 36
2001 First: 115 Last: 56
2002 First: 170 Last: 101
2003 First: 104 Last: 84
2004 First: 86 Last: 72
2005 First: 65 Last: 79
2006 First: 64 Last: 64
2007 First: 72 Last: 86
2008 First: 72 Last: 103
2009 First: 77 Last: 145
2010 First: 12 Last: 136 (as of March)

Not sure what that means (if anything), but they are statistics where:

- first = first commit made that year
- last = last commit made that year (so far)

Also, it looks like 136 people have made commits in 2010 :)

Regards,
Philip
