Rathe= r, I think that suggestion is actually better than having a 5.7 release. Pretty much the same result, isn't it? There are many voices in favor of 5.7, for very good reasons (see the distros one for the most important). An extension will be useless, no impact, defeat the main goal of having a 5.7.
