The way I see it, we should branch master to a new PHP-5.7 branch, and = then merge phpng into master. I think we should have a PHP 5.7. There are plenty of things we can = still do in the 5.x series and it would be better to get them into PHP = next year with 5.7 rather than in two or three years with NEXT.
