It's not about trying to teach the authors (and their publishers) a =
lesson by consequence.
It's about trying to help those who are (and will continue to be) =
confused by that mess.

FWIW (if it even matters), I'm +1 on shipping "PHP 6" off to Uzbekistan, =
and calling the next major version PHP 7.
