If I can: $var1 =3D 5; why would I need a special function call "array()" to create and assign an array? An array is just like any other variable right? // Seems more natural to me. $array1 =3D ['a' =3D> 1, 'b' =3D> 2]; // than a function call... $array2 =3D array("a" =3D> 1, "b" =3D> 2); That was one of the little things that I remember being wierd about PHP when I first started coding in it.
