Personally I think this patch would be great, and I will recommend it to th= e=20 other debian php maintainers for review. It would certainly be a lot bette= r=20 than our current solution, where the timezone db has been ripped out of php= =20 and put into a seperate package which is managed outside of the stable=20 release cycle (in the "volatile" release area). I understand that it may make the job of developing/releasing/supporting=20 easier for you to bundle the timezone db (just like libgd, et c), but pleas= e=20 consider the position of those who are responsible for maintaining not just= =20 your software but thousands of other projects' packages... wouldn't it be= =20 possible to at least make this some kind of compile-time option for those o= f=20 us who do like the idea? sean finney (debian php package maintainer) --nextPart1400179.sWEbSCr0dA Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name=signature.asc Content-Description: This is a digitally signed message part. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQBHhZryynjLPm522B0RAjn/AJ9jkGNjOhVnGuoEMxFgcssBrvua7gCdFcJQ hi3BRGWqBfZQ8CjCAlOkHV4= =y2Xn -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --nextPart1400179.sWEbSCr0dA--
