Maybe we can brainstorm at php|vikinger on this. One of the "processes" we have is that we have no formal processes and for better or for worse, this is how PHP works (and the german in me is slowly accepting this), so all I want is to provide some analysis, that may more may not be used by the people that actually make the change happen eventually. @Steph: are you coming to vikinger, and if not could you write up something about your perception of the commit process? regards, Lukas
