A while back it seemed very important to people here to be able to give feedback but I haven't heard from a soul. Basically I suggest trying out the new implementation, looking at the two different implementations and giving feedback as to which one is more suitable for PHP 5.1. I'd like to make a decision sometime soon because it gets hard to maintain these big patches outside the CVS repository.
