I think this is rather an understatement=2E This would be a HUGE change fo=
r many users of the language, and expect a lot of pushback for any such pro=

When I talk about "compiling PHP", I mean the existing compilation to op c=
odes! maybe stabilising them for deployment, maybe just using the existing =
OpCache preloading=2E

If you use the JIT in advance, it becomes a very different tool - the poin=
t of JIT compilation is to make use of runtime information about hot paths,=
 the actual types of dynamic arguments, etc
