"Don't feed the trolls" may be timeless, but there is absolutely nothing wise about that saying. It's the "turn the other cheek when the bully punches you in the face" advice, and it backfires horribly. Telling people to individually block an abusive user with many email addresses is putting all the effort of dealing with an abuser on the victims.
