I would like to see the threshold feature implemented in gd but that's different topic entirely. 2-bit color depth may be useful in places where bandwidth is extremely limited for some things, though honestly the uses I thought of (e.g. company logos) are probably going to be done SVG is concern for bandwidth is considered by the web dev, but there's no reason IMHO to keep this function when another does the same thing. Would love to see someone implement a generic threshold algorithm in gd though, it definitely has cool used outside of WBMP.
